About The Position

PharmaCann, Inc. is a leading producer of cannabis-based products with operations in multiple states. We are seeking energetic, results-driven individuals to join our growing team. This position is responsible for leading the Packaging department's team members, ensuring effective communication and direction to achieve weekly objectives at a productive and efficient pace. The role involves supervising, guiding, and training team members to maintain adequate inventory of SKUs for timely fulfillment of export orders using automated machinery. The Lead of Packaging must consistently lead and participate with professionalism and safety. This role reports to the Supervisor of Packaging and Manager of Post Harvest.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment required.
  • Must be eligible for the position based on state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Able to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Able to move about a typical office, manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Working with the cannabis plant, breaking it down by hand and scissors.
  • Potentially working with machinery to trim, sort, and package cannabis product.
  • Able to kneel, bend, reach, rotate, and stoop on an intermittent to regular basis daily.
  • Able to lift and move up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Consistent on-time attendance for all scheduled shifts.
  • Prepared for 40 hour work weeks within this position, with occasional overtime.
  • Able to communicate professionally in person, over the telephone, through email and other electronic means, move about the office, handle various types of media and equipment, and visually or otherwise identify, observe, and assess.
  • Knowledge of local, state, regional states, and federal employment laws relating to key areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and leading a team to achieve the packaging of dried flower product into a variety of SKUs and packaging methods to complete weekly objectives.
  • Leading and supervising staff to utilize automated machinery, and organize and inventory packages according to standard operating procedures.
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to team members to ensure daily work, productivity, and quality goals are met.
  • Conducting employee evaluations, coachings, and other documentation as necessary.
  • Assisting with providing effective leadership to employees to ensure a complete understanding of and alignment to PharmaCann’s vision, mission and values.
  • Ensuring effective and appropriate communication with team members to increase team unity and operative flow.
  • Bringing safety, security, and dried flower product and equipment concerns forward through the proper channels.
  • Assisting other departments with additional and/or supplemental work, such as Post Harvest dept tasks, Production dept tasks, cleaning, and light maintenance.
  • Guiding and training staff to maintain proper organization of the areas where Technicians operate.
  • Ensuring upkeep and maintenance of the machinery through participation, practice, training, guiding, and disciplining accordingly.
  • Directing the communication and reporting of dried flower product concerns with the Supervisor of Packaging and/or Manager of Post Harvest.
  • Providing direction and support to associates with a safe, well maintained, and organized work area.
  • Supporting the Supervisor of Packaging and/or Manager of Post Harvest with keeping department stations fully supplied with necessary equipment and utensils.
  • Supporting instruction to the Packaging department staff in upholding current laws and regulations towards the cultivation facility.
  • Adapting to updated laws and regulations to implement safe and effective practices to sustain highest quality standards and efficiencies.
  • Supervising and supporting the organizing and securing of all METRC tags and harvest batches.
  • Supporting the Supervisor of Packaging with updating and tracking all required information in the Packaging department logs and spreadsheets daily.
  • Leading the staff in training and coordinating to ensure compliance of the Packaging department areas.
  • Coaching, guiding, and analyzing with staff to maintain compliant practices and workflow.
  • Ensuring that individual and team performance meets PharmaCann’s standards of service and quality in the Packaging department to achieve weekly objectives.
