About The Position

With a history dating back to the early 1900s, Gambles has grown and evolved into one of the largest produce wholesalers in all of Canada. We operate out of three locations across the country: two in Toronto and one in Calgary. We also have a satellite office in Philadelphia that manages our U.S. sales operations. Just like our products and our customer base, we love to see our people grow! The Repack Analyst will report directly to the Repack Manager. This position will be responsible for coordinating all repacking and regrading activities for the company. This individual will work primarily out of the Ontario Food Terminal location but will require the ability to travel to our 302 Dwight Ave. location and/or our third-party repackaging facility.

Responsibilities

  • Organize repacking orders inclusive of Bagging, Flow Wrap, Kwik Lok and other forms of repacking as needed
  • Coordinate commodity requirements with Buyers on fresh arrivals, including volume requirements for regular/ad movement
  • Create and maintain Repack Product Spec Sheets in coordination with repack facility, QC and commodity Buyers
  • Ensure Repack Standards are met as per Repack Product Spec Sheets
  • Organize commodity Repack time studies as per business requirements
  • Monitor and maintain packaging inventory, including maintaining relationships with existing Suppliers
  • Provide Repack analytics including maintaining up to date Repack template relevant to Costs
  • Maintain communication between internal/external departments to ensure Repack requirements are met and ensure approved Repack costing is accurate
