Rents Fleet Manager - Bensalem, PA
About The Position
The Rents Fleet Manager manages fleet performance across the Rental Services division to maximize utilization, availability, and profitability. The role analyzes fleet data to identify shortages, surpluses, aging equipment, and underperforming assets, and implements corrective actions. The manager develops fleet acquisition, forecasting, budgeting, and disposal strategies to optimize asset lifecycle management. The role collaborates with Caterpillar and other OEM partners on equipment quoting, ordering, delivery schedules, and vendor relationships, and partners with rental sales teams to align fleet composition with customer demand and business objectives. The position works closely with service and operations leaders to improve fleet readiness, support new equipment offerings, and drive operational efficiency. It also provides inventory and equipment recommendations to leadership and supports continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 7–10+ years of experience in equipment rental, construction equipment, fleet management, maintenance management, or service operations.
- Strong knowledge of construction equipment, rental operations, and equipment lifecycle management.
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment diagnostics, repair practices, reliability, and fleet performance.
- Advanced analytical and business skills, including Excel, Power BI, data analysis, P&L interpretation, and logistics planning and scheduling.
