About The Position

Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc. is hiring a Rental Yard Operations Assistant for its Boston branch in Walpole, Massachusetts. The role assists the Rental department with rental operations and administration, including trailer inspections, inventory, customer service, and general yard support. The position involves working both indoors and outdoors in all seasons and requires a professional, detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Experience in the heavy-duty truck, trailer, or transportation industry is preferred.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask regularly.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Professional, highly motivated, positive, problem-solving attitude.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must pass a standard pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform inbound and outbound trailer inspections.
• Take and maintain trailer photos and assist with marketing submissions.
• Assist the jockey as needed and support them on certain jobs.
• Receive tire deliveries and roll them into the shop as needed.
• Conduct monthly trailer and tire inventory.
• Provide excellent customer service to existing and new customers.
• Fuel yard equipment.
• Keep the yard clean and safe.
• Run errands as needed.
• Assist the Rental department with other operational and administrative tasks.
