About The Position

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Rental Sales Representative for their location in Billings, MT. This is a full-time, front-line sales role with broad responsibility, where you will be the face of Ryder's rental operation in your market. The role involves owning the full sales process, executing marketing plans, maximizing rate opportunities, building customer relationships, and coordinating inventory. You will also take ownership of the profitability, operations, and asset management of your rental location, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. A key aspect of the role is driving profitable revenue growth through strong customer relationships and serving as the point of contact for customer satisfaction, resolving concerns quickly and professionally.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 1 year of sales experience
  • High energy, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
  • Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional presence with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Solid customer service instincts and the ability to stay composed under pressure
  • One (1) year or more sales experience required

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales process for inbound inquiries and outbound prospecting
  • Execute your business unit's marketing plan and maintain accurate customer data
  • Maximize rate opportunities and generate leads for rental, lease, and used vehicle sales
  • Build and expand relationships with an existing customer base while actively developing new ones
  • Coordinate inventory levels to meet customer demand and drive market share
  • Take ownership of the profitability, operations, and asset management of your rental location
  • Partner cross-functionally with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales, and Marketing
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations
  • Develop deep knowledge of your local market to maximize fleet utilization
  • Drive profitable revenue growth through strong, ongoing customer relationships
  • Serve as the point of contact for internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Resolve customer concerns and disputes quickly and professionally
