About The Position
Avis Budget Group is hiring a Rental Sales Agent for its airport rental counters in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role rents vehicles and recommends products and services to improve the customer experience. Agents process rental contracts, listen to customers’ needs, explain options and features, answer questions, and recommend useful add-ons through a consultative, service-first approach. The position emphasizes friendly, professional service that builds customer trust and loyalty. Employees select from shifts posted weekly through the company app, subject to available shifts and business needs. The role begins with scheduled, paid onboarding, including online learning and in-person skill assessments. The position requires regular onsite presence and cannot be performed remotely.
Requirements
- Effective verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry.
- Professional, engaging, and customer-focused personality.
- Comfort recommending options based on customer needs.
- Ability to sit, stand, and type for prolonged periods.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Regular onsite presence is required; the position cannot be performed remotely.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of retail, hospitality, or consultative sales experience in a fast-paced environment.
