About The Position

Bishop Lifting Products, Inc. is the most trusted name in the lifting world, offering deep expertise, services, and support to solve complex lifting challenges. The Rental Prep Tech will assist in the day-to-day operations of rental mechanics, preparing outgoing rental equipment. This role involves quality assurance, maintenance, and refurbishment work on various lifting equipment including air chain hoists, hand chain hoists, lever hoists, trolleys, beam clamps, Modulift spreader bars, hydraulic rams, jacks, pumps, air winches, and rigging hardware.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• High attention to detail
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Highly organized, ideally in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Ability to operate a forklift or manlift equipment
• Ability to work with a high degree of precision and control
• Diagnostic skills and understanding of wear tolerances and retirement criteria
• Must be able to read and interpret parts manuals as well as production orders with mechanical instructions
• Strong mechanical reasoning & aptitudes, including knowledge of Pneumatic, hydraulic and electric powered machinery, force dynamics and spatial relations.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test/physical and background check

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance on finished rental equipment before send out.
• Train incoming mechanics on proper rigging techniques on rental equipment and other best practices.
• Maintain and repair material handling machinery.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Evaluate and make recommendations regarding repairs.
• Other functions as required
