About The Position
Okie Staffing has a position open for a Paint Prep Technician for a reputable aviation manufacturing company. This is a long-term temporary position with the potential to convert to full-time for the right candidate. This role focuses on preparing aircraft components for the paint process. If you have strong attention to detail and a solid work history, this is a great entry point into the aerospace industry.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required for future conversion)
- Good, stable work history (required)
- Ability to work with hands and follow detailed instructions
- Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment
- Must be able to pass a DOT Drug Screen (UA)
- Ability to wear a respirator when needed
- Must be dependable and safety-focused
Nice To Haves
- Light experience with hand tools preferred (not required)
- Previous production or prep experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Tape and mask parts prior to painting
- Prepare surfaces for paint (cleaning, sanding, prepping)
- Handle small aircraft components with care and precision
- Follow safety procedures including proper use of PPE (respirator when required)
- Support production team to ensure parts are ready for finishing
