About The Position

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Rental Manager in District Heights, Maryland. The Rental Manager is responsible for managing and controlling the rental store/stores to ensure a safe, efficient and profitable operation to support the rental store/stores and corporate objectives by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate Team Members.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years’ management experience in a service related industry.
  • Minimum of two years' supervisory experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent sales skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Must be able to function well in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
  • Must have an excellent driving record.
  • Must be able travel frequently – overnight and out of town.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Rental Equipment Industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
