Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must have a minimum 3 years automotive industry experience background AND a minimum of 3 years customer service
  • Ability to maintain ongoing positive relationships with companies and manufacturers
  • Excellent customer service, organization, and communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize
  • Proven problem-solving and influencing skills
  • Intermediate Excel and Outlook proficiency
  • Experience with advanced PDF processing software

  • Ideal candidate will have accounting and other back office knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Confirm rental bookings and prepare daily rental units with guest name
  • Ensure the vehicles are gassed, clean, and ready for rental
  • Greet guests after check-in and ensure comfortability with the vehicle offered
  • Manage billing and payment from insurance provider, warranty, or customer pay
  • Track and manage unpaid claims while working with claims agents as needed to collect funds
  • Report fleet status to GM and Inventory Manager regarding current rentals, duration of rental, scheduled picks ups/drop offs, and utilization of fleet
  • Follow up on any “Just Drive” customer leads to schedule and ensure fleet utilization
  • Train and manage staff in company policies and ensure adherence to all company policies
  • Motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of all department staff conducting disciplinary action or PIP’s as needed and administer annual performance evaluations for staff with thoughtful feedback
  • Appraise staff productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other changes in status
  • Ensure staff completes all required job duties in an accurate and timely manner
  • Complete employee terminations based on policy violations with HR approval
  • Manage all staff pay rates and hours worked, schedules, time off, and other administrative duties
  • Coordinate with the Recruiting Department to interview and hire department staff
  • Ensure that any employee relations issues or concerns are addressed and escalated to HR when necessary
  • Monitor and assist in the implementation of company initiatives and legal compliance measures and ensure the communication of company news on a regular basis
  • Ensure Walser service processes and scripts are followed by employees
  • Support the career and professional development of staff
  • Lead by example and be an advocate for staff
  • Follow up on any “Just Drive” customer leads to schedule and ensure fleet utilization
  • All other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned
