About The Position

The Rental Field Technician I provides high-quality equipment repair service to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner while ensuring maximum value for work performed. The role completes repairs, diagnoses and troubleshoots equipment problems, recommends repairs, and tests completed work. It requires accurate job documentation and information for management quotes, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and flexibility for varying schedules, overtime, and on-call work. The position requires up to 10% travel and is designated safety-sensitive.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or one to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to complete and/or obtain required licenses, certifications, and registrations.
• Must be able to obtain or currently possess adequate tooling to perform the duties.
• Knowledge of database software, internet software, manufacturing software, and order processing systems.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Flexibility to work various schedules, including shift work, required overtime, and on-call work.
• Successfully complete the Work Steps assessment.

• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat-rate times and re-do metrics.
• Complete related paperwork and use required databases accurately and on time, including work orders, parts orders, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, and STW.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Provide accurate information to management for quoting.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, recommend repairs, and perform critical rental and engine repairs and adjustments.
• Test and verify the correct operation of repairs and adjustments.
• Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine the proper diagnosis.
• Mentor Rental team members.
