About The Position

Responsible for monitoring all aspects of the Shepherd/NetSuite program while ensuring all assets are tracked incoming and outgoing from Carthage Yard. This role involves meticulous documentation, prompt service order management, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment and vehicles within the yard.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Self-motivated and able to direct one's own work.
Ability to use general office equipment (phone, copier, etc.).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and NetSuite.
Ability to problem-solve as unusual circumstances occur.
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to be a high-performing team player.

Responsibilities

Document and accurately enter all equipment asset numbers going out or coming into the gate into NetSuite and Excel, including driver name, asset numbers, and accessories count.
Promptly create and assign service orders (day and night) to the correct contract and update them accurately for every job.
Ensure all gate log entries are accurate and timely.
Immediately notify the manager of any issues or concerns regarding equipment, employees, trucks, or trailers before they leave the gate.
Provide employees with proper supplies for each job (e.g., gas monitors, safety harnesses, PPE) and record all supplies on the sign-out sheet.
Stop all 3rd party trucks incoming and outgoing to direct them and ensure they have proper PPE while in the yard.
Verify that all equipment leaving the yard has an assigned asset number and report any missing asset numbers to the manager immediately.
Keep the operations log current with the status of all jobs (pending, ongoing, completed, or canceled).
Check every truck and trailer by performing a 360 walk around, inspecting load securement, tires, lights, and overall condition of the vehicle and trailer to ensure safe operation on the roadway.
Assist employees with any issues, concerns, or questions they have with Shepherd and report them properly if the issue cannot be resolved.
