About The Position

Hunton Rental Solutions (HRS), a division of the Hunton Group, is seeking to hire a Rental Applications Engineer to support the design, development, and validation of temporary engineered rental solutions for customers across a variety of industries. This position combines technical engineering expertise with customer-facing support to develop temporary power, HVAC, compressed air, and fluid handling solutions that are safe, reliable, and operationally efficient. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field required.
Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Experience performing engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and system design.
Working knowledge of CAD software and technical drawing development.
Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and engineering documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer-facing presentation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software applications.
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

Experience with HVAC systems, temporary power systems, industrial cooling, or rental equipment applications preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop engineered temporary rental solutions for customer applications.
Perform HVAC, electrical, and fluid handling load calculations and equipment sizing.
Create system layouts, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
Review customer specifications, operating requirements, and project objectives.
Support sales teams during customer meetings, site visits, and technical presentations.
Develop temporary power, cooling, compressed air, and fluid handling system designs.
Coordinate with operations and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
Provide technical support for start-up equipment, commissioning, and operational testing.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during project execution.
Support fleet standardization initiatives and new product development efforts.
Participate in safety reviews, permitting requirements, and engineering best practices.
Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and company safety policies.
