About The Position

As a Renewables Engineering Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers to support projects that help improve the performance, reliability, and sustainability of renewable energy generation facilities. This role provides meaningful, hands-on experience in the power generation industry while contributing to APS’s commitment to delivering reliable energy and supporting the communities it serves through clean energy solutions.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in engineering.
Demonstrated achievement and ongoing success in academic studies or training.
Ability to collaborate effectively with others and contribute to team-based projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Interest in renewable energy, sustainability, and power generation.
Enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate or graduate degree program.
Must show ongoing achievement in areas of study and training.

Nice To Haves

GPA of 3.0 or higher.
3.0 GPA or higher.

Responsibilities

Analyze engineering data and help identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and operational outcomes.
Contribute to engineering projects focused on improving renewable generation systems and operational performance.
Participate in site visits to gain firsthand exposure to renewable energy operations.
Engage with cross-functional teams to support initiatives.
Performs simple to intermediate analysis and designs. May assist in preparing business/engineering plans, designs, specifications, cost estimates, evaluations and studies.
Assists in research, business documentation, studies or technical reviews. Conducts analyses, investigations, verifications and summarizes results or findings in written reports or oral presentations.
Utilizes internal resources to learn business/engineering operations/functions and apply learning in completion of work assignments.
Coordinates efforts with other disciplines, and/or departments in achieving project goals and task assignments.
Performs other related duties as required.
