About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of production, sanitation, material handling, and equipment operation tasks within the Rendering and Refinery departments while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to company policies and procedures. Work is performed in industrial production environments with exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, dust, noise, and odors. Temperatures may range from approximately 20°F to 100°F depending on the work area and operational conditions. Facility operations run 24 hours per day across multiple shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have 1 month of experience operating heavy machinery
  • Must be able and willing to stand and walk for extended periods of time, including shifts lasting up to 10–12 hours.
  • Must be able and willing to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able and willing to work in hot, cold, humid, dusty, and wet environments.
  • Must be able and willing to work around moving machinery and industrial equipment safely.
  • Must be able and willing to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able and willing to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned duties in various areas within the Rendering and Refinery departments.
  • Operate production equipment and heavy machinery safely and efficiently to support continuous operations.
  • Transport materials and products throughout the facility using forklifts and other material handling equipment as assigned.
  • Complete required production and operational documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform sanitation and cleanup duties using shovels, high-pressure hoses, cleaning agents, and approved chemicals.
  • Maintain production flow and support operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work in environments involving animal by-products, including blood, fat, bones, hair, and other cattle-related materials.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, food safety standards, and operational guidelines.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at all times.
  • Complete all required job training and safety training programs.
  • Communicate operational issues, equipment concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
