About The Position

Talkiatry is a virtual mental health practice built by clinicians, for clinicians. Our care model, workflows, and infrastructure are intentionally designed to support high-quality outpatient care and expand access to patients with the care they need. This role is designed for independently licensed therapists who want predictable, W-2 compensation and full benefits, flexible scheduling within a structured outpatient model, minimal administrative burden in a fully remote environment, and clear expectations around caseload, documentation, and pace. Our outpatient therapy model is intentionally built for virtual care, not retrofitted from inpatient or hospital systems, allowing you to deliver thoughtful and structured care.

Requirements

  • Independently licensed therapists (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC or equivalent)
  • Active, unrestricted license (multi-state licensing support available)
  • Two or more independent and active state licenses (except for CA, NY and MA)
  • Comfort managing a consistent outpatient caseload
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and independent decision-making
  • Comfort practicing in a fast-paced but sustainable outpatient environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience from outpatient, community mental health, hospital, IOP, or other structured clinical settings
  • Experience with structured, skills-based modalities (ex. CBT, ACT, MI, DBT-informed care)

Responsibilities

  • 100% remote, outpatient therapy
  • Treat lower to moderate acuity populations (ex. anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, mood disorders, OCD, others)
  • Conduct standard session lengths (60-minute intakes and follow-ups)
  • Manage a consistent outpatient caseload with defined, transparent goals
  • No inpatient, IOP/PHP, or crisis-call responsibilities
  • Utilize in-house referral network to/from psychiatrists
  • Receive full operational support including scheduling, billing, intake coordination, credentialing, and licensing
  • Practice independently with accessible clinical leadership available for consultation and support
  • Focus on patient care by removing administrative work
