The Remote Monitoring Analyst will monitor equipment health and performance using Sandvik’s digital solutions, identify potential issues and improvement opportunities, and provide timely recommendations to customers. This role supports proactive maintenance, maximizes equipment availability, and creates customer value through data-driven analysis, reporting, and technical support. The analyst will act as a key customer contact, offering insights on equipment condition, managing critical alerts, conducting operational performance reviews, and supporting customer adoption of digital services. Collaborating with Remote Monitoring Specialists and internal stakeholders, the role contributes to continuous improvement, root cause investigations, and the delivery of high-quality Remote Monitoring Service.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, or GED
  • Technical background with full equipment systems (mining equipment for example)
  • Self Motivated Individual
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States on an indefinite basis without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrica Engineering or Technical Certification in equipment maintenance
  • Technical experience with engines, transmission, hydraulics, brakes

Responsibilities

  • Monitor equipment condition, performance, and utilization using Digital services tools.
  • Analyze machine data to identify developing failures, operational inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prioritize and investigate abnormal events, alarms, and performance trends.
  • Develop and communicate actionable maintenance and operational recommendations.
  • Track recommendations through closure and document outcomes.
  • Support investigations related to equipment failures, recurring events, and critical alarms.
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned Remote Monitoring Service customers.
  • Conduct regular service reviews and communicate monitoring findings and opportunities.
  • Support customers in understanding equipment performance and data-driven recommendations.
  • Prepare monitoring reports, performance summaries, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of recommendations, investigations, and customer interactions.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across monitoring systems.
  • Support onboarding and training activities for Sandvik digital solutions.
  • Promote customer adoption and utilization of monitoring platforms and reporting tools.
  • Assist in resolving customer questions regarding digital services and escalate issues when required.
  • Contribute to the improvement of monitoring processes, reporting standards, and alarm effectiveness.
  • Share operational insights and recurring trends with internal stakeholders.
  • Support validation and implementation of new monitoring methodologies and digital capabilities.
