The Business area Mining is a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, parts, service, digital solutions and sustainability-driving technologies for the mining and construction industries. Applications include rock drilling, rock cutting, loading and hauling, tunneling and quarrying. The Remote Monitoring Analyst is responsible for monitoring equipment health and performance through Sandvik’s digital solutions, identifying potential issues and improvement opportunities, and delivering timely recommendations to customers. The role supports proactive maintenance, maximizes equipment availability, and creates customer value through data-driven analysis, reporting, and technical support. The analyst serves as a key customer contact, providing insights on equipment condition, managing critical alerts, conducting operational performance reviews, and supporting customer adoption of digital services platforms. Working closely with Remote Monitoring Specialists and internal stakeholders, the role contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, root cause investigations, and the delivery of a high-quality Remote Monitoring Service. Key Focus Areas include: Equipment health monitoring and analysis, Proactive maintenance recommendations, Customer reporting and engagement, Critical alarm management, Digital services support and training, Data analysis and continuous improvement, Service delivery and customer value creation. This role will be a hybrid role requiring 3 days in office in White Pine, TN.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, or GED
  • Technical background with full equipment systems (mining equipment for example)
  • Self Motivated Individual
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States on an indefinite basis without employer sponsorship. (Please note: temporary work authorizations, including OPT, do not meet this requirement.)

Nice To Haves

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Technical Certification in equipment maintenance
  • Technical experience with engines, transmission, hydraulics, brakes

Responsibilities

  • Monitor equipment condition, performance, and utilization using Digital services tools.
  • Analyze machine data to identify developing failures, operational inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prioritize and investigate abnormal events, alarms, and performance trends.
  • Develop and communicate actionable maintenance and operational recommendations.
  • Track recommendations through closure and document outcomes.
  • Support investigations related to equipment failures, recurring events, and critical alarms.
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned Remote Monitoring Service customers.
  • Conduct regular service reviews and communicate monitoring findings and opportunities.
  • Support customers in understanding equipment performance and data-driven recommendations.
  • Prepare monitoring reports, performance summaries, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of recommendations, investigations, and customer interactions.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across monitoring systems.
  • Support onboarding and training activities for Sandvik digital solutions.
  • Promote customer adoption and utilization of monitoring platforms and reporting tools.
  • Assist in resolving customer questions regarding digital services and escalate issues when required.
  • Contribute to the improvement of monitoring processes, reporting standards, and alarm effectiveness.
  • Share operational insights and recurring trends with internal stakeholders.
  • Support validation and implementation of new monitoring methodologies and digital capabilities.
