About The Position

Advanced Sentry LLC is seeking dependable and professional individuals to provide Remote Hands, Smart Hands, Facility Support, Site Inspections, Access Verification, and Unarmed Security Response services throughout the Portland / Hillsboro area. This position primarily supports clients by providing on-site verification, documentation, inspections, facility checks, vendor support, and basic hands-on assistance under the direction of authorized remote teams. The role may also include unarmed security response activities such as alarm response, site checks, access verification, and observe-and-report security duties. This is an hourly, non-exempt position. All hours worked will be compensated in accordance with applicable federal, Oregon state, and local wage and hour laws.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to use a smartphone, mobile applications, email, and reporting platforms.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with clients and coworkers.
  • Ability to pass any legally permissible background screening required by clients or applicable law.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any Oregon licensing, certification, registration, or security credentials required for assigned duties.

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic on-site support under the direction of authorized technical teams, dispatch personnel, supervisors, vendors, or clients.
  • Perform visual inspections of equipment, rooms, cabinets, racks, cages, buildings, gates, doors, and access points.
  • Check equipment indicators, alarms, screens, displays, labels, and operating status.
  • Take photographs and videos for documentation purposes.
  • Verify site conditions and report findings.
  • Confirm whether equipment, rooms, doors, or facilities are secured.
  • Perform authorized power cycles when specifically instructed.
  • Assist with inventory verification and equipment identification.
  • Follow approved procedures and written instructions.
  • Escalate any unclear, unauthorized, or unsafe requests.
  • Complete assigned inspections and site verification checklists.
  • Inspect buildings, offices, warehouses, parking areas, data centers, server rooms, mechanical rooms, loading docks, and exterior grounds.
  • Verify that assigned areas are secure and free from obvious safety hazards.
  • Identify open doors, leaks, damage, tampering, environmental concerns, or unusual conditions.
  • Record observations through approved reporting systems.
  • Submit required photos, notes, timestamps, and reports.
  • Promptly report incidents, hazards, or concerns.
  • Respond to client security requests and alarm notifications as assigned.
  • Respond to intrusion alarms, access control alerts, door alarms, gate alarms, camera alerts, and related service requests.
  • Conduct site inspections following alarm activations.
  • Verify the security status of doors, gates, buildings, and restricted areas.
  • Provide an unarmed security presence when requested.
  • Monitor and report suspicious activity.
  • Report property damage, safety concerns, unauthorized access attempts, or policy violations.
  • Contact dispatch, client representatives, emergency services, or law enforcement when required by company procedures.
  • Complete incident documentation and reports.
  • Verify authorization for vendors, contractors, visitors, and technicians.
  • Escort authorized personnel when required.
  • Confirm access permissions.
  • Report access control issues.
  • Protect confidential client information and site security procedures.
  • Maintain professional communication with dispatch, supervisors, clients, and vendors.
  • Check in and check out according to company procedures.
  • Provide status updates during assignments.
  • Complete accurate reports and documentation.
  • Report delays, hazards, incidents, and unusual conditions.
  • Remain on assignment until properly released.
