Remote Benefit Specialist
About The Position
AO Globe Life / American Income Life is hiring a remote Benefit Specialist to support individuals and families across the United States. The role presents supplemental benefit options tailored to clients, supports them through enrollment, and provides attentive service and follow-up. Client consultations are conducted virtually using Zoom. This is a 100% remote independent contractor opportunity. Compensation is commission-based and performance-driven, not hourly or salaried. The position offers inbound leads, hands-on training, mentorship, licensing guidance, and professional development. Candidates must obtain the appropriate state Life & Health Insurance License before conducting licensed insurance activities and complete any required pre-licensing coursework, examinations, and state licensing requirements at their own expense. Specific licensing requirements, fees, compensation, and contractor terms may vary by state. The opportunity is intended for self-motivated, organized, coachable candidates comfortable working independently and interested in a performance-based career with growth and advancement opportunities. Prior insurance experience is not required.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Be self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
- Have a service-minded, mission-driven attitude.
- Be confident with virtual meetings and everyday digital tools.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be capable of obtaining the required licensing, if applicable; required licensing must be obtained before conducting licensed insurance activities.
- Complete applicable pre-licensing coursework, examinations, and state licensing requirements at the candidate’s expense.
- Provide a computer or laptop, webcam, reliable high-speed internet, and a professional remote workspace.
- Prior insurance experience is not required.

- Prior customer service or consultative experience is a plus, but not required.
