About The Position

Assist the Corporate Sales Manager in all aspects of trading in, receipting and moving of the used inventory including evaluations, reconditioning, advertising, and selling. Works cooperatively with individuals from all levels of the organization to assure timely movement of used inventory.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of John Deere and competitive equipment.
  • Ability to use a computer and current software to complete job duties required.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving history.

  • 2+ years industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assigns trade values on items to assist in selling new equipment while ensuring the profitable resale of used equipment.
  • Helps implement and oversee the used picture and inspection process across the company visiting locations to physically review trade-ins on a regular basis.
  • With direction from Corporate Sales Manager implements centralized approval on retail/recon/wholesale plans on individual items once inspected.
  • Develops all possible outlets for dispersal of used inventory which includes John Deere Remarketing services, wholesale markets, internet outlets, auctions, and trades with other dealers.
  • Administers all sales and finance programs for used equipment working with the Corporate Marketing and Sales Managers for proper execution.
  • Works within the company’s lease equipment portfolio minimizing risk on lease returns while promoting effective lease programs to the retail sales team.
  • Communicates the Remarketing sales process for the entire organization.
  • Assist on equipment transfers and trucking of used equipment between locations and other dealers.
  • Works with the service department to understand location work loads and move used inventory accordingly between locations to ensure timely reconditioning of used ؛inventory.
  • Maintain reports on dealer lease maturities and repo equipment.
  • Reviews inventory descriptions, hours, and options internally and externally to keep up to date and accurate.
  • Updates pricing on equipment through the direction of the Corporate Sales Manager.
  • Loads used equipment to social media such as MarketPlace and other platforms to extend the dealership marketing reach and create more sales outlets.
  • Generates various sales activity, evaluation, and inventory reports as needed for management.
  • Grow dealer relationships through marketing platforms and attending industry conferences.
  • Communicates with the R&S retail sales team on the availability and readiness of the used inventory.
  • All other duties as assigned.
