About The Position

The Relocation Coordinator is responsible for customer account retention through proactive problem assessment and providing innovative solutions. This role involves communicating with customers regarding contracts, service charges, and special handling requirements. The coordinator will maintain current account profiles, stay updated on tariffs and contract carriage agreements, and gather information from customers to provide logistics services. They will also monitor shipments, communicate changes to dispatch and drivers, follow up with customers on shipment status, and assist with invoicing or service-related complaints.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be proficient in the use of standard software packages, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for customer account retention through pro-active problem assessment and providing innovative solutions; talks with customers regarding contract, service charges and special handling requirements.
  • Maintains current account profile list with appropriate discounts and special instructions that apply to the account.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of tariffs and contract carriage agreements.
  • Gathers information from customers by phone or in person and provides information on logistics services; receives and registers orders or changes in service.
  • Monitors shipments for driver assignment, destination services; communicates any shipment changes to dispatch and driver.
  • Follows up with customers to inform on shipment status and to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with complaints concerning invoicing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
