About The Position
Petfolk is hiring experienced relief veterinary technicians to support its Pet Care Centers, which provide general practice and urgent care services. Relief technicians can choose their shifts, locations, and availability, and may work as much or as little as they want without a long-term commitment. Petfolk offers orientation and support, modern facilities, and opportunities to work alongside veterinarians, technicians, and support staff while treating a variety of cases and patients.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on veterinary experience in a clinical setting.
- Confidence in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, and diagnostics.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Comfort with technology, adaptability, and motivation to grow.
Responsibilities
- Support a variety of veterinary procedures and treatments.
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory diagnostics.
- Educate pet parents with compassion and clarity.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient histories.
- Promote low-stress and Fear-Free techniques in every interaction.
