About The Position

Petfolk is hiring experienced relief veterinary technicians to provide flexible support at its Pet Care Centers, which offer both general practice and urgent care services. Relief technicians can choose their shifts, locations, and availability, working with a variety of cases and patients. Petfolk describes its centers as modern, state-of-the-art facilities and offers orientation and support to help relief staff succeed. Shifts are booked through a scheduling platform, and technicians can work as much or as little as they want without a long-term commitment. The advertised compensation is $25 per hour for weekday shifts and $28 per hour for weekend shifts.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on veterinary experience in a clinical setting.
• Confidence in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, and diagnostics.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Comfort with technology, adaptability, and motivation to grow.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of procedures and treatments.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory diagnostics.
• Educate pet parents with compassion and clarity.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient histories.
• Promote low-stress and Fear-Free techniques in every interaction.
