Requirements

Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician / Assistant
Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt quickly
Desire to learn and grow skills
Supportive teammate who enjoys collaboration
Deep care for patient care and client experience
Comfortable working day shifts, overnights, weekends, or holiday shifts as needed
Comfortable with anesthesia, drawing blood and working on unique cases

Nice To Haves

Emergency experience is a bonus

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians with emergency and critical care cases
Perform patient triage and ongoing patient assessments
Collect blood, urine, and other diagnostic samples
Place and maintain IV catheters
Administer medications and IV fluids accurately
Monitor anesthesia and assist with emergency procedures
Perform venipuncture and laboratory testing
Obtain diagnostic radiographs
Monitor hospitalized and ICU patients
Calculate medication dosages and fluid rates
Accurately document treatments and patient care
Educate and communicate with pet owners during stressful situations
Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment
Support CPR efforts and other emergency life-saving procedures
Work collaboratively with doctors and teammates to provide exceptional patient care
