Petco Veterinary Services offers relief veterinarians the opportunity to work in Vetco Vaccination Clinics and Vetco Total Care full-service veterinary hospitals. Flexible online scheduling lets veterinarians choose shifts to suit their lifestyle, with no minimum or maximum number of shifts and weekday and weekend hours available. Veterinarians set their own rate for each shift, may continue practice activities outside Petco shifts, and pay no agency fees. The appointment-based model helps manage patient flow and supports leaving on time, while trained staff handle clinic operations so veterinarians can focus on patient care. Vetco Vaccination Clinics provide basic wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, and microchip placement. They do not provide surgery, emergency care, or illness care. Locations are primarily inside Petco stores, with some in mobile van units. Vetco Total Care hospitals offer preventive care, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures. These hospitals have digital dental X-rays, Butterfly IQ+ Vet ultrasound imaging, and surgery suites with heated hydraulic surgery tables and full anesthesia monitoring. Hospital staff are licensed and trained, and there are no overnight or emergency on-call shifts. Petco provides a monthly newsletter with clinic news, policy updates, and product announcements. Relief veterinarians also receive a 15% discount on Petco products and services. Vetco clinics and hospitals provide veterinary care in 48 states.
