This role requires out-of-town/overnight travel, potentially for 1+ nights. The company provides top-of-the-line, company-maintained equipment, including newer trucks and trailers. There is a strong culture of safety and inclusion, with free uniforms and PPE provided. A dedicated dispatch team, paid orientation, and support for professional licenses are also included. Roadside assistance and a fleet card program are available to drivers.

Requirements

Minimum two (2) years of recent tractor/tanker experience
Minimum one (1) year of recent tanker experience
Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License, CDL Class A, with appropriate hazmat and tanker endorsements
A clean driving record for the past three (3) years
Be physically qualified to drive a motor vehicle and provide a valid medical card
Be able to provide proof of experience or training to operate the type of motor vehicle used by Chemtrade safely
Employee must frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Must be "fit for duty"

Employee is occasionally required to climb stairs/ladders (including vertical)

Responsibilities

Load, transfer, and unload raw product from a tanker truck
Transport and unload chemicals into customers’ tanks safely and with the required paperwork
Safely handle hoses during loading and unloading
Perform pre and post-trip inspections
Comply with all Company, Customer Federal, State, and Local laws, rules and regulations
Become familiar with plant operating procedures
Other duties as assigned
