About The Position

We are looking for a Relief Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and help deliver exceptional care while building strong relationships with our clients and their pets. This position is for relief help during July till October, with the potential to turn into a permanent position. The ideal candidate loves surgery days, educating pet parents, and being hands-on in patient care.

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license (required)
• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital preferred
• Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting
• Experience with patient restraint, diagnostics, and treatment procedures
• Strong communication skills for client education
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
• Genuine passion for patient care and animal health

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures
• Prepare patients for surgery including catheter placement, patient prep, and monitoring
• Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals during procedures
• Assist with dentistry procedures, including dental cleanings and radiographs
• Collect and run diagnostic samples (blood, urine, fecal testing, etc.)
• Take and position patients for radiographs
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Provide inpatient nursing care and monitor hospitalized patients
• Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, post-operative care, and preventative care
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes
• Work closely with the team to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care
• Help maintain smooth clinic operations throughout the day
