Relief Pharmacist - Part Time

About The Position

The Relief Pharmacist practices pharmacy in an environment focused on patient care and education. The role is patient-directed and clinically oriented, with an emphasis on advancing patient care at Meijer Pharmacy. The pharmacist fills prescriptions accurately, supports and mentors pharmacy technicians, builds positive relationships with patients and team members, and helps grow the pharmacy business. In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, the Relief Pharmacist is responsible for pharmacy operations. Other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
Certified Immunization Pharmacist, except in Indiana.
Working knowledge of the pharmacy system, policies and procedures, and applicable state regulations.

Responsibilities

Fill prescriptions accurately.
Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members, and leadership.
Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner.
Help expand and grow the pharmacy business.
Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to help them become effective team members.
Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
Apply knowledge of Meijer policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively and act as an agent of change.
Organize and prioritize workload effectively.
Listen to patients and resolve their needs.
Be responsible for pharmacy operations in the absence of the pharmacist in charge.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
