DHS is seeking a dedicated Relief Nurse (Internal Registry) to join our team. Requirements

  • One (1) year experience within the last five years as a registered nurse providing acute direct patient care in a hospital.
  • A current, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) Program certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care for patients that require specialty services and nursing care.
  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care delegation and coordination of nursing care and utilization of the nursing process as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Provides patient and family education.
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with patients and as a member of an interdisciplinary health care team.
  • Performs work with integrity and in compliance with professional nursing practice standards policies and procedures, respecting patients' privacy and confidentiality.
