About The Position

St. Leonard's Community Services (SLCS) is seeking Relief Justice Workers to support, advocate with, and empower individuals who are, or who are at risk of being, justice-involved. This role is ideal for individuals working towards their diploma or degree or looking to start their career in the justice field. The position involves working flexible schedules in four adult community residential facilities (CRFs). The focus is on providing excellent client care by building rapport, making community connections, and supporting clients in their successful reintegration into the community. Responsibilities include advocating for and with clients involved in the criminal justice system, assessing client skills and needs, liaising with other services (including probation and parole officers, community supports, and internal teams), monitoring property safety and security, and assisting with administrative duties.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education from an accredited institution or working towards completing your education
  • Standard First Aid/CPR - Level C
  • Valid G2 or G class Driver’s License
  • Clear Police Check with vulnerable sector screening (at applicant's cost)

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language
