About The Position

The Relief CDL Driver maximizes sales and distributes products to meet customer needs. The driver loads and unloads products from the vehicle and verifies the contents against invoices. The schedule is Monday through Friday. Drivers with an assigned route earn between $55,000 and $75,000.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Clear motor vehicle record for the past three years.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to read, count, and accurately perform simple math.
• Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to work independently, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
• Ability to address problems involving multiple solutions in standard situations.
• Regular, reliable attendance.
• Ability to regularly lift over 70 pounds and maneuver a loaded hand truck weighing approximately 200 pounds.
• Ability to maneuver around large trucks; reach, pull, twist, bend, and stoop; and climb in and out of the cab.
• Ability to raise and lower bay doors to load and unload product.
• Ability to walk extensively in and out of accounts and ride in a vehicle.
• Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Maximize sales and distribution of all products in each assigned account using established Company sales methods.
• Ensure products are merchandised and handled effectively and efficiently.
• Accurately and legibly complete route administrative procedures.
• Operate Company vehicles safely and courteously while obeying traffic regulations and Company safety policies.
• Demonstrate effective customer service skills.
• Comply with Atlanta Beverage Company policies and procedures and support the company’s mission and vision.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.
• Load and unload products from the vehicle and verify contents against invoices.
