Reliability Tech D 1st Shift

Shaw Industries is seeking a Reliability Technician D to join our team on first shift. This role is responsible for supporting the performance and reliability of equipment within assigned areas, ensuring optimal efficiency at the lowest reasonable cost. Requirements
- Familiarity with safety practices (LOTO, PPE, confined space, fall protection, rigging, PIT, hot work)
- Basic computer skills for documentation and parts ordering
- Working knowledge of measurement units and basic math (including conversions)
- Ability to read, interpret, and sketch basic diagrams
- Understanding of tools and their proper usage
- Introductory knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting and power transmission systems
Responsibilities
- Develop a basic understanding of equipment operations and assist with routine maintenance activities
- Perform general maintenance tasks across the facility, including offices, restrooms, and grounds
- Complete routine inspections and equipment setups, including: Safety and environmental checks, Recording operational data (e.g., utility readings), Replacing parts and conducting quality checks with precision measurements
- Assist Reliability Technicians (Levels C–A) with: Job site setup and cleanup, Transporting tools and materials, PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) operation during tasks, Painting, lubrication, and greasing, Supporting confined space monitoring and hot work safety
