About The Position

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Reliability Maintenance Technician Co-op located in Wilson, NC. This Co-op role supports the development of a new large molecule drug substance manufacturing site, offering a comprehensive learning experience. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) or a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Industrial Systems Technology or related field.
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher and be available to work the hours agreed upon with the hiring manager.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of maintenance systems and tools.
  • Must work independently with minimal direction.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess strong interest in industrial equipment maintenance
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of equipment used supporting Plant Utility Systems and Production process (e.g. bioreactors, chromatography, tangential flow filtration) is preferred.
  • Experience working in a cGMP environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and executing documentation supporting equipment operation and maintenance
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Maintenance System governing Utilities and Production process
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment
  • Understand instruments and their use supporting maintenance equipment process
  • Implement tools for measuring, tracking, and improving standards compliance.
  • Demonstrate communication and collaboration skills across functions.
  • Assist in developing maintenance plan for equipment inspection and testing.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, organizing files, and preparing documents.
  • Communicate with internal teams and external vendors as needed.
  • Participate in testing and troubleshooting of systems supporting production processes
  • Help document processes and create standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Support project managers in coordinating and tracking project activities.
