About The Position

As a Reliability Engineering Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers, maintenance professionals, and production teams to identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and support site reliability programs. This internship provides an opportunity to apply engineering principles in a real manufacturing environment while contributing to Novonesis' operational success. As a Reliability Engineering Intern, you will support projects focused on equipment reliability, predictive maintenance, asset improvement, and data-driven problem solving. This role combines technical analysis with hands-on plant exposure, allowing you to develop practical engineering skills while contributing to meaningful business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to analyze technical data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support reliability and maintenance improvement projects across the Blair manufacturing site.
  • Assist with equipment performance analysis and identification of reliability improvement opportunities.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret maintenance and operational data to support decision-making.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action development.
  • Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to improve asset performance and equipment uptime.
  • Document findings, prepare reports, and present recommendations to stakeholders.
