About The Position

As a member of MACOM's MMIC Reliability Engineering team, the Product Reliability Engineering Intern will work with experienced engineers to support the qualification, reliability evaluation, and test development of semiconductor products and packages. This internship provides hands-on experience in reliability engineering, laboratory testing, data analysis, AI-assisted engineering tools, and hardware development.

Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Strong interest in semiconductor devices, electronics, reliability, testing, or product development.
Experience with laboratory work and technical data analysis.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Self-motivated with a desire to learn and take ownership of technical challenges.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Python, PCB design tools, or AI-assisted engineering tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead an individual project with clearly defined objectives and deliverables.
Support semiconductor product and package qualification activities.
Perform laboratory testing, data analysis, and engineering investigations.
Utilize AI tools to develop software utilities, automate engineering tasks, and improve data analysis workflows.
Design and validate PCB test boards and fixtures to support reliability activities.
Participate in intern training, networking events, and technical presentations.
Present project results and key learnings at the end-of-summer poster session.
Receive mentorship, training, and formal performance feedback throughout the program.
