About The Position

The Reliability Engineer will be part of the Reliability Engineering team, responsible for developing and executing reliability studies, analyses, and improvement programs to ensure high-performance, dependable systems. This role involves leading technical reliability initiatives, defining statistical controls, and delivering actionable improvements to product and process reliability.

Requirements

  • Project management experience
  • Scheduling and planning experience
  • Knowledge of reducing unscheduled equipment downtime across critical assets, preserving production capacity and protecting capital investments.
  • Ability to generate incremental productivity gains for Plant Engineering through data driven PM optimization and rapid fault isolation.
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • Ability to work remotely
  • Ability to work onsite

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and conduct reliability studies and design-of-experiments (DOE) to evaluate engineering concepts and identify failure mechanisms.
  • Recommend design, test methods, and statistical process-control procedures that meet required reliability targets.
  • Compile and analyze performance reports and process-control statistics, investigating variables that affect product and process reliability.
  • Create and manage reliability engineering programs that align with company, customer, and government reliability objectives, proposing design or formulation changes when needed.
  • Serve as subject-matter expert for preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance technologies, supporting facility uptime and Plant Engineering knowledge development.
  • Track critical systems unscheduled maintenance downtime.
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analysis events, documenting actions and driving process improvements.
  • Achieve direct cost avoidance by intercepting equipment failures prior to occurrence.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in preventive, predictive and condition-based maintenance methodologies.
