About The Position

A Plant Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring the continuous, efficient, and safe operation of plant equipment and systems. They develop and implement strategies to minimize unplanned downtime, extend asset life, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
  • 3–7 years of experience in a manufacturing or process plant environment.
  • Proficiency in CMMS, vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication management, and other predictive maintenance tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and unplanned downtime.
  • Lead investigations into equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and prioritize maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to schedule and optimize maintenance activities.
  • Drive reliability improvement initiatives using methodologies such as RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and Six Sigma.
  • Provide reliability input during the design and commissioning of new equipment or plant modifications.
  • Monitor key reliability metrics such as MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), and equipment availability.
  • Support and train maintenance technicians and operators on reliability best practices.
