About The Position

As the Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for the execution of reliability engineering practices within a development program. You will work hand-in-hand with design, test, and manufacturing engineers, performing root cause studies, supporting reviews, and delivering data-driven recommendations that ensure products meet requirements. This role involves collaborating daily with cross-functional engineers, producing clear technical reports, and occasional travel for board meetings or site visits.

Requirements

  • Must have a Secret clearance.
  • Experience with performing reliability predictions and analyses.
  • Experience with reliability FRACAS and statistical data mining.
  • Experience with the FMECA process.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors in the Reliability field of expertise.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, technical writing experience, and an ability to perform oral presentations in front of large groups.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field from an accredited college with 7 years of professional experience; or 5 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree.
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Failure Mode, Effects & Criticality Analyses (FMECA) and generate reliability block diagrams.
  • Develop and execute reliability growth plans; analyze trends to prioritize corrective actions.
  • Support design reviews, test activities, and prepare for Failure Review Board (FRB) meetings.
  • Participate in Corrective Action Boards (CAB) and Failure Review Boards, presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Identify FRACAS trends, drive investigations, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Review Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and contribute to Concept Screening Board (CSB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) decisions.
  • Recommend statistical process control methods and test techniques to achieve target reliability levels.
  • Compile, analyze, and report performance data and process control statistics.
  • Ensure all corrective actions satisfy established reliability standards.
