This position is a key engineering role on the Medtronic Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) Affera Capital/HW and Systems Reliability team within OU Product Quality organization. This role will support full lifecycle projects, design changes, and risk management from product development through end of life. The product scope includes complex durable hardware system with approximately 45 system components, including Pulse Field Ablation generator, RF Generator, Integrated Mapping System, workstation computer, system cart, and various adapters, cables, and accessories. In addition to functional responsibilities listed below, typical assignments may also include Design Verification planning, execution, and reporting; Design Change assessment and approval; Risk Management file creation and maintenance; complaint trending signal investigations, CAPA, risk response (issue evaluation, PHO, 806 assessment, Health Risk Assessment), and supplier change assessment and approval. QMS and PDP procedure updates and enhancements may also be assigned. This role is on a team currently comprised of 8 other engineering professionals, many of whom have extensive Reliability experience, which can provide significant coaching and growth opportunities for developing engineers. The team is currently growing as the Affera system is experiencing rapid market growth and expanding production capacity globally.

Requirements

  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree and 0 years of relevant experience
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
  • The employee is also required to interact with a computer, and communicate with peers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

  • Support product lifecycle activities under guidance from senior engineers
  • Assist with documenting and updating Risk Management files
  • Contribute to Design Verification activities
  • R eview supplier changes for potential quality or reliability impact
  • Support complaint tr ending investigations
  • Help maintain and improve QMS and product development procedures
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers to support reliability and quality of various system components.
