About The Position

Linde Inc. is seeking a Reliability Electrical Engineer - Electronics in Phoenix, AZ. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of production facilities while supporting the lowest life cycle cost. The engineer will make technical decisions and recommendations based on data analysis and evaluation of costs, risks, and benefits. They will partner with regional reliability teams and plant staff to develop detailed outage plans, including parts requirements, contractor coordination, planned work, outage execution, and risk mitigation. Additionally, the role involves presenting outage plans to leadership, developing and maintaining spare parts plans, supporting inventory control and ordering, and adjusting plans based on operating history and information from the Center of Excellence. The engineer will also partner with the Center of Excellence to implement best practices for maintenance and parts planning, develop and support reliability assessments, and utilize Six Sigma methodologies for continuous improvement. Responsibilities include supporting the setup of new facilities and reliability programs, leading identified reliability initiatives, assisting with critical spare identification and BOM creation for critical assets in the CMMS and other critical systems, and supporting regional reliability teams with preventive maintenance compliance schedules and task plans in the CMMS, including electronics-specific maintenance. The position requires a combination of office and field work with approximately 25% domestic travel and occasional off-hours accessibility via laptop and cell phone.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance/reliability engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with maintenance, engineering, specification, and design of electrical and mechanical equipment and systems, including HV/MV switchgear, UPS systems, generators, substation infrastructure, motors, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, piping, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience interpreting P&IDs, SWDs, and machinery drawings.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance technologies and reliability methodologies, including RCM, TPM, FMEA, Spare Parts Management, Planning & Scheduling, and CMMS optimization.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and presentation skills with the ability to work independently and lead or participate on cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Proficiency with computers and standard software packages, including Microsoft Office and E-Mail.
  • Understanding of machinery installation, commissioning, and process optimization in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering preferred; a technology degree may be acceptable depending on experience level.
  • CMRP or CRE certification preferred.
  • Experience with CMMS systems such as Infor EAM preferred.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and techniques preferred.
