About The Position

TISTA Science and Technology is seeking a Release Train Engineer / Release Manager to join its growing team. The role supports mission-driven work and offers opportunities for learning and internal career mobility. The position is remote in the United States. Candidates must be able to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust and a VA PIV credential. The suggested salary range is $115,546 to $125,875; the actual offer depends on factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and location, and some positions may be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses.

Requirements

For the RTE track: 7+ years of Agile delivery experience, including 3+ years as an RTE or equivalent at Senior / Level III.
For the Release Manager track: 5+ years of software release management experience.
Experience running PI Planning or release calendars on a federal program.
Bachelor's degree.
SAFe Release Train Engineer, SAFe Release Manager, or equivalent certification.
ITIL 4 Foundation.
Must be able to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust and a VA PIV credential.

Nice To Haves

Experience with ServiceNow release and change management.
Experience with the VA DevSecOps Release Process and VA Release Agents.
Experience with Jira dashboards and flow metrics.
SAFe ScrumMaster (SSM), SAFe Advanced ScrumMaster (SASM), or Certified Scrum Trainer (CST).

Responsibilities

Facilitate PI Planning, system demos, and Inspect & Adapt, and maintain iteration and PI calendars.
Coach Scrum Masters and manage cross-team risks and dependencies.
Maintain ServiceNow release calendar entries and coordinate with VA Release Agents.
Assemble release packages, including test results, scans, and documentation, and lead go-lives and post-release closure.
Report release and flow metrics to the Program Manager.
