About The Position

The Release Manager is a new Senior Developer role on agile software development team within the Single Family Division. This role works with the Development Manager and SrcumMaster to coordinate and manage release activities across multiple, concurrent software development projects. This role requires advanced technical knowledge of network architecture, strong interpersonal and communication skills. The Release Manager works with stakeholders to identify release requirements ensuring dependencies are identified and tracked. The Manager will facilitate and coordinate release activities and deployments across multiple production and non-production environments, as well as, parallel development streams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 8-10 years’ experience in release and configuration management
• 6-8 years’ project management experience
• Advanced knowledge of build environments and operations
• Technical knowledge of Oracle OSB, DB2, DataPower, Weblogic, Informatica, Java
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills

• Prior agile experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and manage issues, risks, and change requests
• Coordinate and communicate cross-application dependencies
• Identify and execute solutions for managing emergency and exception releases
• Consolidate and publish release notes for each deployment
• Plan and communicate release schedules
• Work with integration, build, and operations teams to track environment builds and configuration activities.
• Oversee deployments and validate release is operating as expected.
• Manage and communicate release schedule for services and environments
• Work with Integration Manager to understand code branches and merges
• Develop a release strategy for continuous non-production and production releases .
