About The Position

The Army National Guard (ARNG) Enterprise Network Operations and Cybersecurity Support (ENOCS) program delivers comprehensive enterprise IT infrastructure, WAN, cybersecurity, and associated services to the ARNG and its mission partners. The program supports more than 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints across approximately 2,800 sites spanning 54 states and territories, enabling Title 10 and Title 32 missions, domestic emergency response operations, mobilization readiness, and classified SIPRNet operations. Task 2 — Enterprise Applications Support — delivers engineering, operations, and sustainment of enterprise software applications and IT capabilities supporting more than 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints across approximately 2,800 ARNG sites nationwide. This task area ensures mission-critical applications remain current, secure, and aligned with evolving ARNG requirements by integrating innovation, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement practices into application lifecycle management. ECS is seeking a Release Engineer - Journeyman to support the ARNG ENOCS program by enhancing and maintaining the CI/CD pipeline infrastructure. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient and secure software deployment processes. This position involves collaborating with development and operations teams to streamline build, test, and deployment activities, thereby contributing to the broader mission of delivering reliable and secure IT solutions within the Army National Guard's enterprise framework.

Requirements

  • Clearance: Secret Eligible required
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • DoD 8140.03 Compliance: DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 632-Systems Developer at the Basic proficiency level
  • Certifications (one or more required): CND
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3–10 years of experience in software development, build automation, or DevSecOps pipeline operations within DoD or Federal IT environments
  • Demonstrated experience in CI/CD pipeline development and sustainment
  • Proven ability to manage version control systems and build artifacts
  • Experience in integrating automated security scanning into development pipelines
  • Ability to troubleshoot and update automation scripts effectively

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain CI/CD pipeline automation workflows to enhance deployment efficiency.
  • Assist in the integration of secure code scanning tools within the deployment pipeline.
  • Manage version control systems and oversee artifact management processes.
  • Package and release software updates in alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Troubleshoot pipeline issues and implement script updates to resolve failures.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and system administration teams to ensure controlled release execution.
  • Support the alignment of deployment processes with DevSecOps practices and configuration management standards.
  • Execute release activities, ensuring compliance with security and operational guidelines.
