Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the commercial underwriting approval processes.
  • Fully knowledgeable on Wealth Management products, Treasury Services, deposit offerings, and other bank services.
  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years’ experience in a commercial lending environment or 9-11 years’ equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of commercial lending practices and loan documentation, and loan servicing requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated capacity to sell products/services within the financial services industry.
  • Advanced understanding of credit underwriting, documentation, loan policy, and regulations.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial analysis including ratio and trend analysis and projections.
  • Specialized knowledge of specific markets in order to serve defined territories.
  • Thorough knowledge of Wealth Management and Treasury Services products.
  • Ability and knowledge to sell the entirety of the bank.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written reports and presentations.
  • Good PC skills including knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of various financial products and the servicing of commercial loans to middle-market privately owned businesses.
  • Managing portfolios, which include the larger more profitable customer relationships.
  • Prospecting, networking, developing new business, and cross-selling services.
  • Participating in community and professional activities to enhance our image and expand your network of business contacts for development of new business.
  • Partnering with credit on the approval, documentation, and booking processes.
  • Analyzing and evaluating credit requests, writing loan commitments, and recommending appropriate risk rating and issue declinations.
  • Monitoring and managing existing credit relationships, including credit renewal, review detailed analysis of current financial statements and collateral valuations, cash flow analysis, managing delinquencies, and document exceptions.
  • Compiling reporting to monitor asset, credit quality, and compliance with policy/regulation, and determining appropriate action for wire transfers.
