As a Relationship Manager I - C&IB within PNC's Treasury Management organization, you will be based remotely. This position may be eligible for remote work in select geographic locations, subject to approval by PNC. If approved, work must be conducted from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace. Occasional in-office participation may be required based on business needs. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. Responsible for relationship management activities with new and/or existing clients in a book of business to grow sales, revenue and market share with relevant sales goals. Typically works with clients with basic levels of risk and complexity of needs. Generally works with higher degree of supervision. With direction, acquires and/or expands and retains client relationships to generate revenue and deepen share of wallet. Responsible for the origination, financial analysis, negotiation, and documentation of credit and non credit products and services. Manages risk/return and drives quality for new and/or existing clients. Actively identifies and mitigates different types of risk (eg regulatory, reputational, operational, credit, etc) Focuses on client opportunities by providing ideas and insights based on an understanding of the client's needs and their financial well being. Focuses on increasing client engagement and loyalty. Builds an effective network of internal and external relationships (eg community, industry, etc) to actively acquire new clients and/or expand existing clients and enhance the client experience. Focuses on bringing entire bank to the client by presenting the full range of PNC's products and services. Leverages reporting and sales tools to proactively identify and successfully convert sales opportunities. As defined with the business, demonstrates ability to analyze, evaluate and mitigate credit risk by utilizing knowledge of credit fundamentals and internal credit policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, associate degree and or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of sales professionals and sophisticated external clients.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Detail oriented and deadline driven.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, redline documents
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced sales team environment.
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • University / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

  • Knowledge of mergers and acquisitions is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review and communicate information on a M&A transaction and understand client needs
  • Client facing relationship manager position. The ability to correspond directly with counsel and company contacts, and ability to navigate setup for legal documents that need to be completed by company equity holders
  • Ability to learn an online portal at PNC and understand capabilities and limitations to successfully navigate a closing for clients
  • Ability to work outside of normal hours
  • Critical thinking is a must. Deals often change and additional legal documents to be distributed and analysis needed for setup. Will have to clearly communicate setup to counsel for a successful transaction

  • Interpret client spreadsheets to direct teams on deal and payment setup in the online portal
  • Invoice Generation prior to deal closing. Encompasses a comprehensive document assignment review
  • Facilitating post-closing payment event process
