The Relationship Manager (RM) reports to the Director and works with a team of ATB Business associates and partners. The primary responsibility is to increase and retain business according to annual growth targets and enhance the profitability of a designated portfolio of ATB Business customers. The RM is adept at proactively identifying new opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing relationships. The core of this role involves being a relationship builder and connector, dedicated to supporting the needs of business clients within the province. The goal is to become a trusted advisor through consistent support and a deep understanding of the clients' past, present, and future situations.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed client needs and expectations by identifying relevant products, services, and opportunities to help grow their business.
  • Achieve set portfolio targets by growing the existing book of business and developing a pipeline of new loans and deposits.
  • Refer clients to the appropriate partner and effectively communicate ATB Business and Market information to the entire branch team, highlighting its relevance to their business and fostering partnerships.
  • Effectively manage the existing portfolio of ATB Business clients, including renewing expired credits, initiating and following up on arrears, and managing debt recovery.
  • Effectively manage operational, regulatory, and credit risk to ensure adherence to ATB’s risk tolerance.
  • Handle client inquiries, concerns, and complaints expertly, resolving them in a timely manner.
  • Actively participate in internal and external events, promoting ATB Financial and supporting initiatives crucial to the success of Albertans.
