About The Position

This role focuses on attracting, advising, and serving existing and prospective customers to help them achieve financial wellness. The specialist will engage in in-depth conversations, provide extraordinary service leading to referral opportunities, and respond promptly to customer needs. A key aspect is developing a customer calling list and conducting 'High Touch Calls' by analyzing current relationships and proactively offering recommendations. The role also involves solving customer problems, conducting 'IQ Lead calls' to retain business and acquire new clients, and maintaining broad knowledge of products and services. Collaboration with internal business partners in Wealth Management, Electronic Banking, and Loans is essential to offer comprehensive financial solutions. The specialist will also process various transactions, including opening new accounts, handling teller transactions, and assisting with cash advances and other financial services. Proficiency in Electronic Banking is required to assist customers with their needs and technical questions. Administrative support to the PBO/Supervisor and team is also a component, involving report completion, correspondence, filing, and managing customer accounts. Security procedures, Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and safeguarding customer information are critical. The role participates in achieving departmental goals through meetings and discussions on progress. Other duties as assigned are also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of customer service, retail, cash handling, sales, or other customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Attract, advise, and serve existing and prospective customers by having in-depth conversations, in person and by phone, utilizing the C.A.R.E model to help customers work toward and achieve financial wellness.
  • Provide extraordinary service to customers resulting in a full pipeline of referral opportunities.
  • Provide direct and immediate response to customer requests or needs.
  • Develop a top customer calling list.
  • Complete High Touch Calls through analyzing current customer relationships and proactively contacting them with recommendations to help them achieve financial success.
  • Listen, assess, and solve customer problems.
  • Complete IQ Lead calls daily with the opportunity of retaining existing business and bringing in new business.
  • Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of products and services to appropriately support customer needs.
  • Collaborate with other internal business partners (Wealth Management, Electronic Banking, Loan) to provide customers with a full range of financial solutions to meet their needs.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and efficient customer service by processing a wide array of transactions, including opening new accounts, processing teller transactions, and handling Cash Advances, Pre-Paid Cards, Check Orders, etc.
  • Provide solutions to customer needs and answer technical questions related to Electronic Banking.
  • Provide administrative support to the PBO/Supervisor and team by remaining aware of departmental goals, providing ongoing communication, and organizing priorities to meet customers’ needs and deadlines.
  • Assist with the accumulation and completion of various Reports, Logs, and job duties to ensure timely delivery as directed by PBO/Supervisor.
  • Prepare correspondence, handle filing, manage phone inquiries, and perform other clerical duties.
  • Contact overdraft and delinquent customers.
  • Complete file maintenance on customer accounts.
  • Requisition office supplies, loan documents, new account supplies, Money Orders, Treasurer’s Checks, Pre-Paid Cards, etc.
  • Maintain Scanner and ATM.
  • Balance Vault, Cash Advance Machine, and ATM daily.
  • Transfer cash to and from the vault.
  • Perform check cashing overrides when the PBO/Supervisor is not available.
  • Open and close the branch in the absence of the PBO/Supervisor.
  • Strictly adhere to security procedures, Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and safeguarding customer information.
  • Participate in meeting Community Banking Department's long- and short-term goals and objectives.
  • Attend and participate in annual meetings to develop departmental goals and objectives.
  • Attend and participate in meetings to discuss and evaluate progress on meeting goals and objectives, including Daily 5 Minute Meetings, Weekly Relationship Building Conference Calls, Weekly Branch Based Sales Meetings, and Monthly Employee Relations Meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
