About The Position

The Relationship Banker provides an industry-leading client service experience in person and by phone by developing and expanding new and existing client relationships. The role offers financial solutions based on consultative conversations and refers clients to other business partners when appropriate to support additional business growth. The banker is cross-trained to perform teller duties as needed, including transactions and helping clients navigate the branch. The position requires a first-shift schedule and work on Saturdays.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education.
Two years of client sales and service experience.
Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building client relationships.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
Demonstrated proficiency with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including applicable registration and NMLS background check requirements, and meet ongoing regulatory requirements.
Ability to multitask under time constraints.
Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignment or location changes.
Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; occasional travel and overnight stays may be included.

Responsibilities

Handle routine client maintenance requests, resolve problems, and perform sales functions involving deposit, credit, convenience, and other products and services.
Contribute to individual and branch client-service and sales targets by offering products and services that develop, expand, and retain client relationships.
Conduct consultative conversations and address or refer complex client needs and financial goals to internal specialists.
Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
Build sales techniques and product knowledge through meetings, training, and web-based learning.
Advise clients on consumer lending options and take loan applications.
Follow internal controls, operational procedures, and risk-management policies, and stay current on policy and procedure changes.
Provide courteous, engaging service during transactions, uncover client needs, and help with teller transactions and greeting and guiding clients within the branch.
