About The Position

Relationship Bankers build face-to-face relationships with customers, assess and respond to their banking needs, obtain and process customer and account information, explain deposit and loan products and services, and recommend financial solutions based on customers’ goals. The role includes originating and closing consumer loans, opening accounts, and opening or closing the branch. The position requires NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z, including a criminal background and credit check. Failure to satisfy or maintain registration requirements may result in rescission of an offer or termination of employment. The role requires working from a U.S. Bank location on all scheduled work days.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Typically, at least four to five years of job-related retail banking experience, or a combination of experience and commensurate training.
NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z, including required criminal background and credit checks.
Ability to work from a U.S. Bank location on all scheduled work days.

Responsibilities

Build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up, learning clients’ financial needs and banking channel preferences.
Identify solutions for new and existing clients by engaging and communicating effectively with them.
Maintain working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital offerings.
Provide a consistent client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions.
Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to serve clients.
Open consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications.
Educate clients about digital and self-service products and services.
Use available resources and technologies to improve the client experience and ensure operational excellence and accuracy.
Originate and close consumer loans.
Open and/or close the branch.
